Comparison

DiscoLike vs Prospeo

Prospeo is a polished contact-finding tool built on the LinkedIn graph, with company search bolted on. DiscoLike is a company search engine built on the web itself. The overlap is newer than you'd think. The foundations aren't.

TL;DR

Prospeo earned its 4.6/5 G2 rating on a solid single-lookup workflow: LinkedIn profile in, verified email out, from $49 per user/mo with a real free tier. It has since added company search with ICP and lookalike filters, so it's no longer just an email finder.

DiscoLike starts from the other end: an index of 80M+ business websites we crawl ourselves, searchable by natural language, lookalike, and exact homepage phrases, with contact search layered on top of discovery, not the reverse.

Pick by your primary job. Individual LinkedIn-first prospecting: Prospeo is cheap and good at it. Building account lists in markets your current tools can't see: that's a search engine problem, and it's ours.

Two tools built from opposite ends

Prospeo's core loop is contact-first: you already know the person or company, and it finds you a verified email: fast, cheap, with a well-liked Chrome extension. Its newer company search adds ICP, lookalike, and technology filters over a 30M-company database derived from the LinkedIn profile graph and firmographic data.

DiscoLike's core loop is discovery-first: you describe a market (in a sentence, with seed domains, or with an exact phrase companies would use on their homepages) and we search our own crawl of 80M+ business websites to find accounts you didn't know existed. Contact search then scopes to the companies you discovered.

That ordering matters because contact tools can only enrich companies you already found. If your pipeline problem is upstream (the accounts themselves are invisible to LinkedIn-shaped databases), no email finder solves it.

Prospeo answers "what's this person's email?" DiscoLike answers "which companies should I even be talking to?"

The bulk economics

The most repeated complaint in Prospeo reviews concerns bulk runs: match rates that drop sharply on large imported lists while credits are consumed regardless of hits. For one-at-a-time lookups its pay-per-valid-result billing is fair; at list scale, cost becomes unpredictable. And for company discovery specifically, the published math favors us outright: Prospeo charges 1 credit per company export (roughly $20–$25 per 1,000 companies at plan rates) against DiscoLike's $1.50–$3.50 per 1,000 net-new records.

DiscoLike's model is built for lists: your subscription converts to credits, you're charged for net-new company records returned, and anything you've retrieved is cached free for 90 days: rerunning and refining a search costs nothing. Details on the pricing page.

Where Prospeo wins

Entry price and single-lookup UX. At $49 per user/mo with a free tier (and credits that roll over), it's one of the cheapest credible ways to get verified emails, and the Chrome extension workflow is well-built. The G2 score reflects real satisfaction from individual users. Its official MCP server is also properly scoped, not a checkbox. If your entire workflow is LinkedIn-first, one contact at a time, Prospeo is a rational default and DiscoLike would be overkill.

Fit

Which one is right for you?

Choose DiscoLike if

  • Your bottleneck is finding companies, not finding emails for known people
  • You build account lists in niche or international markets LinkedIn-shaped data misses
  • You want to search website text directly: sentences and exact phrases
  • You run list-scale discovery where per-miss credit burn would sting
  • Your agents need a searchable index of the business web, not just enrichment endpoints

Choose Prospeo if

  • You prospect one profile at a time from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
  • You want verified emails at the lowest credible entry price ($49/mo, free tier)
  • The Chrome-extension workflow fits how you actually work
  • You need a cheap, MCP-accessible contact enrichment API

FAQ

Common questions

Doesn't Prospeo also do company search with lookalike filters?

Yes. Prospeo's company search includes ICP, lookalike, intent, and technology filters over about 30M profile-derived records. DiscoLike's search runs over the crawled text of 80M+ business websites, which is what makes natural language queries and exact homepage-phrase matching possible. Same feature names, different substrate.

Is DiscoLike's contact data verified like Prospeo's?

Yes. DiscoLike contact emails are SMTP-validated, with phone, LinkedIn, seniority, and department filters, and contact search can be scoped to companies from a saved discovery result. Prospeo's verification holds up for individual lookups; independent tests suggest its accuracy claims are optimistic at scale.

Which is cheaper?

Prospeo, at the entry level: $49 per user/mo versus DiscoLike's $99 per workspace. The comparison flips at list scale: Prospeo charges 1 credit per company export (about $20–$25 per 1,000 companies at published rates) and reviewers report credits consumed on non-matching bulk records, while DiscoLike charges $1.50–$3.50 per 1,000 net-new records and caches everything you've retrieved free for 90 days.

Can I use Prospeo and DiscoLike together?

Yes. Discover accounts in DiscoLike, then use Prospeo's extension for ad-hoc LinkedIn contact lookups. Both have MCP servers and APIs, so agents can chain them: DiscoLike for the account list, Prospeo for individual email finds.
