Audit B2B Data Accuracy and Market Coverage
A sample audit can reveal bad records and new qualified accounts missing from your list. Sample overlap alone cannot establish how much of the entire market you cover.

A list can contain accurate companies and still miss much of the market you want to reach. Accuracy and coverage need different checks.
A small, documented audit is a useful starting point before paying for more enrichment or building another automation.
Check accuracy with a random sample
Select around 100 records as an exploratory sample. For each one, verify that the domain reaches the intended business and that the company meets your ICP criteria.
Record the reason for each failure: wrong company, duplicate, inactive website, unsuitable business model, or insufficient evidence. Avoid reviewing only the highest-ranked results, which can hide problems deeper in the list.
Report the accepted share of the reviewed sample. A small sample is a diagnostic, not a precise estimate for every segment.
Check coverage with an independent list
Obtain another sample using the same geography and qualification criteria. Normalize domains and compare it with your existing list, then review the records that appear to be new.
If 40 of 100 external records are qualified and absent from your list, that is a 40% net-new share in the comparison sample. It does not prove you are missing 40% of the entire market. The sources may have different selection biases.
Keep the denominator visible
Useful audit measures include:
- Qualified records divided by reviewed records.
- Qualified new accounts divided by the external sample reviewed.
- Duplicates and unresolved records counted separately.
- Cost per accepted new account.
Repeat the comparison across the verticals that matter to your business. One strong or weak segment should not become a blanket claim about a provider.
Turn the audit into a sourcing decision
Use the error patterns to decide whether you need better validation, broader discovery, or a more precise ICP. Adding contacts to a poorly qualified list solves none of those problems.
Try DiscoLike as a comparison source and evaluate its records using the same rules as your existing data.
